Health Tech in demand!
For the second year in a row Susie A. Ruff co-curated and moderated the Health Tech Stage at Techsauce Global Summit in Bangkok 19-20 June. The summit itself is one of the biggest tech summits in South East Asia with more than 15, 000 participants. The interest to present, discuss, network and showcase tech solutions at Techsauce Global Summit is growing year after year. Participant profiles are, among others, corporate innovators, C-levels, venture capitalists, investors, tech start-ups. This year speakers came from +30 countries and the amount of international mingling incredible.
More than 800 participants visited the Health Tech Stage showcasing a full-day program with speakers from many countries and both from industry and healthcare. The Stage had 10 different sessions all related to Health Tech: among them “Healthcare everywhere – Prevention is the new Black!” were the need the a new paradigm in healthcare – PREVENTION (instead and treatment) – was discussed by a very engaged and dynamic panel headed by Susie.
The vital role of Health Tech was kicked-off on the main-stage where Janice Chia, CEO of Ageing Asia, Singapore, and Susie A. Ruff discussed the important role of tech in Healthcare and Ageing. Ageing population is increasing globally and constitute an extremely important part of societies in the future. Janice Chia emphasized how ageing and Silver Economy has to be seen as a social and economic opportunity instead of a burden for society. Tech companies must study and understand characteristics and needs of Ageing Population and design solutions that are at eye level of this growing group of citizens.
