Susie A. Ruff was delighted to be a virtual panelist and speaker at the TMA Sustainability Forum 2022, Bangkok on “Technologies that Power Sustainability”. Around 100 executives attended the event.
The increased implementation of digital health, eHealth, and Telehealth solutions in Thailand and across the globe – and accelerated by Covid-19 – has certainly also paved the way for more sustainable healthcare. As a result of increased virtual visits to doctors and hospitals, patients registering their own data from home (Patient Reported Outcomes), Tele Psychiatry solutions for mental health, patients and citizens can see the doctor from distance and co-manage their own health from home. No need for long transportation.
Of course, there is still challenges in implementation of these solutions, but we are all heading in the right direction. At the other end of the sustainability scale hospitals need to reduce carbon footprint at a fast pace and increasingly focus on circular products for clinical use.
