Techsauce Global Summit – Design and implementation of the Health Tech Stage

RUFF & CO. began collaborating with Techsauce in 2018. Since then, the size and impact of the health tech stage has been growing every year. In 2024, RUFF & CO.’s role is to set health tech on top of a regional Asian agenda by growing the health tech stage every year. This includes to design, co-curate and moderate the Health Tech Stage with thought healthcare leaders from the whole healthcare ecosystem in Asie and beyond.

In 2024 the support consisted of:

• Selecting emerging topics for the six-hour long health tech stage.
• Selecting and curate 20 thought leaders and expert speakers and brief them on the content, their roles, and support them with their case presentations.
• Organising nine sessions during a whole afternoon.
• Assuring that the stage went smooth and became a success by giving the audience new knowledge about the selected topics and network and inspiration for their further work in health innovation.

Moderator at AgeingFit and MEDigIT, Lille – France

Susie A. Ruff has been selected as moderator several times to moderate sessions with leaders from several European countries representing both industry and tech, care organisations and other important stakeholders from the AgeTech and Ageing and longevity area.

• AgeingFit: Moderator for longer sessions on different topics related to AgeTech, ageing and longevity.
• At MEDigIT 2024 – moderator on a longer session on how to accelerate the adoption and development of digital health and innovative therapies in Europe.
• The moderator role implies the responsibility of preparing the contents, running briefing sessions with the selected speakers and panelists and moderating the sessions.
• Responsible for the quality of the sessions so that the audience gains new and important knowledge in the respective fields.

DJØF

Initiator and organizer of two interdisciplinary conferences held by Denmark’s largest professional organizations with a total of almost 200,000 members: Djøf (one of the largest employers’ organizations in Denmark counting lawyers, economists and more), IDA (The Danish Society of Engineers) and Design Denmark (Dd, the Danish Association for Designers).

Lead in introducing Norwegian Health Tech scaleups in Denmark

During the 2-year Global Growth program RUFF & CO. had the responsibility of planning and executing a long range of go-to-market actions, including several visits to Denmark and meetings with Danish stakeholders. This led to concrete business opportunities for pilots and partnerships with tangible results for the companies and Innovation Norway.

• Care IT: Provides digital record-keeping systems for the healthcare sector.
• Sensio: Develops welfare technology solutions, including a digital collaboration board for healthcare.
• RoomMate: Offers anonymized digital monitoring and alarm management using wireless sensors.
• Touchpoint Medical: Supplies mobile workstations and automated dispensing cabinets to the healthcare sector, part of a larger US-based company.
• Bliksund: Delivers solutions for digital transformation in prehospital care, presenting an electronic ambulance record and a portal for emergency services.
• CheckWare: Specializes in digital patient engagement, offering solutions for digital assessments, online treatment programs, and home follow-ups.

RUFF & CO. was the operator of InnovationGROWTH, global business model development for Digital SME’s with a global potential. The InnovationGrowth programme was sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and The Ministry of Higher Education and Science.

• Business Model Canvas workshops for 13 Digital SME’s from difference industries (environment, health, resulting in individual action plans with suggestions for global partnerships
• Individual workshops included: Business Model Canvas focused on digital solutions; Value Proposition Design and understanding og customers; Cultural aspects; investor pitching
• Coordination and planning with Danish Innovation Centers on concrete actions (Munich, Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Seoul, Delhi, Sao Paulo)

Corporation within Energy Solutions

• Business Model Design and Value Proposition teaching. Business Model development and Value Proposition design workshops for the specific energy solution
• Result: Formulation of business model, concrete action points and implementation plans

Region Zealand

• Planning and implementing executive course in healthcare innovation management for C-level across hospitals, municipalities in the region Zealand and companies in healthcare and welfare technology (Denmark and University of Berkeley, California)
• Recruitment and coordination with senior executives from hospitals, municipalities and private companies. Academic content of competence development including catalogue of topics for innovation projects for hospital C-level
• Advice and participation in the development of Region Zealand’s new organization of innovation, including Zealand Region’s system for radical (health) innovation
